Color, Brand and Logo

Tide

Ever thought of what significance color carries in association with a brand and how the brand associates with the logo ? This question came to my mind while i was going through success strategies of Proctor & Gamble ( P & G ) in recreating two of its brand – Tide and Mr Clean – as dry cleaning and car wash franchises. Everyone is aware that both the brands are very successful in India and overseas. Then what is the need for P & G to enter dry cleaning and car washing ? They are increasing the value associated with the brand and they are not opening new place but working with existing places by franchising with them. They are modifying the interiors and using pre – existing places to be cost effective. The color of building to colors inside the store are same as that of the brand. Its the color which we associate with and brand recall becomes easier when we see the same colors, names and logos everywhere. This will increase their hold in the market and increased sales will increase their profit.

We need to have far sighted vision to understand things much ahead of time and take rationale decisions so that we are not run over by other businesses which are improving themselves technologically everyday. Its very much necessary to keep discovering newer avenues so stay in business.
