Motivation

Motivation is the skill which is most needed when hiring a professional or when you want to get your work done. If your employees are not motivated they will not work and hence less productivity. To get utmost and best result you need to motivate yourself as well as others.

Motivation is of two types -

1) Intrinsic - Self Motivation
2) Extrinsic - Motivation from external sources

There are very few people who are 100% self motivated where as there are many who need some external factor for motivating themselves. External factors such as training, appreciation, bonus & recognition.

Motivation is considered as 4th basic human need after food, clothing and shelter. This itself proves how important it is.

There is a very famous saying " There is nothing so unequal, as equal treatment of unequals".

You should be a very good listener and you should have the ability to listen to others point of view whether it appeals to you or not. You mind should be open and you should be ready to learn, unlearn and relearn. A very famous proverb goes " Your minds are like Parachute and they function best when they are open". So you need to keep your eyes and ears open for motivating yourself.

Listening is as important as talking and you should have the ability to do good healthy self talk.

Motivation and confidence both comes from knowledge. Its very important to brush up your knowledge and remain updated. learn new things and enhance your skill set and you will not have to face any problems in work or any where. A motivated person is confident and is a boon for the company.

Its very correctly said "set your goals high and don't stop till you get there".
