Rajesh Krishnamurthy, VP Marketing, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited said, ''In 2004, when the thought of Oral health Month was conceptualized, we started with the support of 70 participating dentists. Ashok Dhoble, Secretary General of the IDA said he urged the people to make the most of this opportunity.''
A recent national Consumer Usage and Attitudes Survey (CUAS) conducted across the four geographic zones in the country comprising a total of 11,324 interviews by IMRB , sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited revealed that 67 % of Indians had never visited a dentist and about 87 % did not visited dentist unless they had any tooth problem.
