Entrepreneur

An Entrepreneur is a person who follows a dreams and carve a niche for themselves in the society. Gone are the days when very few wanted to run a firm of their own. Now with the growing economy and liberalization the business scenario is much better than before. Its not necessary to be rich but one should know how to accumulate funds for setting and running the business. Its not necessary to posses a professional degree but a right attitude and skill set to run a business. Thinking should be big with efforts put in right direction to excel in any undertaking. There will be lots of ups and downs but its the necessity to persevere and look for solutions in any problematic situation. High tides will turn in to low tides only when the goal is clear with a proper vision.

There are many who have that Entrepreneurial spirit but a few take an initiative and move forward. There are lots of risks involved and need to travel less traveled paths. Founder of a business needs to think and act differently and visualize the problem much more in advance, is a person with right mental attitude.

Saurabh Srivastava, Founder, Indian Angel Network cites one of an example on how he kept his spirits high when faced with an unpredictable situation “ When i was in New York, i made a number of cold calls and one person agreed to meet me to discuss business. Over the meeting i told how we could help him. On finishing he asked me to stay and called his two friends. On their arrival he said “ This is the funniest thing i have heard”. He tried to convince him and made him one of his customers. If some one else would have been in that situation he would have left the place with a fit of anger.

“ If you know the customer better, you can solve the problem better “ believes Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder & CEO, Info Edge India Ltd. Mohanjit Jolly, Managing Director, DFJ India says “ Entrepreneurship is for those who have thick skin and perseverance to hear lots of 'nos' but not get discouraged.

After knowing what these top notch entrepreneurs think we can get a right direction and we can plan our steps better.

Lets think and act differently and create a better tomorrow for us and our society.
